Join Us in Prayer > January 2011

January 2011

The CWS staff in Latin America and the Caribbean invites you to join with us in prayer, whether in the work/office setting or as individuals.

We pray for…

…the Haitian people and those who, humbly and with respect and professionalism, walk at its side the long way of its reconstruction.

…rain in the Bolivian and Paraguayan Chaco, in South America. Especially in the 14 indigenous and campesino communities where CWS recently launched a new food and nutritional security program.

…the girls and youth sexually abused who this month, as every month, receive special attention in the Casa de las niñas (Girls’ House), in Managua.

We are thankful for…

… the solidarity of the Cuban people towards de Haitian people, expressed in the huge humanitarian work  carried by de 1,200 doctors and nurses from the Cuban Mission in Haiti.

…the visit of a group of CWS U.S.- based staff to food security and children’s programs in Nicaragua and Honduras.
