Join Us in Prayer > February 2011

February 2011

The CWS staff in Latin America and the Caribbean invites you to join with us in prayer, whether in the work/office setting or as individuals.

We pray for...

…a peaceful resolution to the election crisis in Haiti and that visionary leaders in the government, churches and civil society will emerge to move Haiti into the future.

…the full normalization of US-Cuba relations and end of the US embargo imposed on Cuba.

…the victims of Brazilian floods and the safety of ACT Alliance members responding to them.

We give thanks for…

…the recent decision by the Obama administration to ease travel restrictions between the United States and Cuba for religious, educational and cultural exchanges, further opening channels of connection between people of the U.S. and Cuba.

…those who have thanked us for or asked to disseminate our new staff care resource entitled “Today…” in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Haitian Creole, after it was published in the December issue of InterAction’s magazine Monday Developments.

…the recent trip by US-based CWS staff persons to visit our food security work in Nicaragua and Honduras, and our work on protection of vulnerable children in Nicaragua.
