… the 25th anniversary of our partner Interchurch Center of Theological and Social Studies (CIEETS by its name in Spanish). CIEETS is a strategic ally in CWS’s food and nutritional security initiatives in Nicaragua. We are thankful for these 25 years of hard work and commitment to defending the most vulnerable communities’ right to a healthy, sustainable and accessible meal every day, all year round.
We pray for…
… the safety of all humanitarian workers, while we remember all of those who lost their lives promoting human rights and social justice across the region. August 19th CWS joins in recognizing World Humanitarian Day. This month, as every month, we want to acknowledge and celebrate our partner’s staff commitment and pray for their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being as they assist the most vulnerable peoples of our region.
… our colleagues of Norwegian Church Aid and their families, in their Latin American offices, but especially those in Oslo, who were working only 200 meters away from where a bomb blasted July 22nd . Thankfully, no one from NCA was injured but we pray for those who lost loved ones and for all Norwegians working for a more inclusive society.
